A map that’s
yours.
Updated October 17, 2026
This policy covers MyTravelMap: Visited Places for iPhone and iPad and its support website and account-deletion service.
Your travel data
Places you mark, their visited or want-to-go status, and optional notes and dates are saved on your device. If you sign in and use iCloud, the map syncs to your private Apple CloudKit database. Guest maps stay on the device until you choose to sign in.
Your Apple account
Sign in with Apple supplies an account identifier and, if you choose to provide it, a display name. The app keeps its account identity in the device Keychain. CloudKit uses your device’s iCloud account for storage and sharing. Apple manages those services under its own terms and privacy policy.
Sharing with friends
Sharing creates a read-only copy of your place statuses in CloudKit. Your notes and dates are excluded. A random share code is stored in CloudKit’s public database with the invitation URL; the public registry does not contain your travel map. Anyone with your link or code can forward it. Recipients need iCloud access to open shared maps.
You can revoke a share to stop future access. Revocation cannot erase copies someone previously downloaded or captured.
Account deletion
The app’s deletion flow removes the account’s cloud map and share code, local map, and friend caches. A small service hosted on Hostinger sends a fresh authorization code to Apple to revoke the app’s Sign in with Apple authorization. It processes the authorization code, account identifier, nonce, and Apple token in memory, without saving them to a user database or application logs. Your travel map is never sent to this service.
If deletion cannot finish, the app pauses sync and lets you retry. Backups you previously exported and copies held by other people are outside the app’s control.
Website and service requests
This website uses no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, signup forms, or tracking cookies. Hosting and network providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and request times, to deliver and protect the website and account service.
Maps and backups
Apple Maps may retrieve map tiles over the network. Place names and colored boundaries are bundled with the app. If you export a backup, you decide where to save or send that file; it can contain private notes and dates.
